Oopsies!

I think Hulksmash may have jumped the gun on me - a 1/3 - 1/2 finished in-depth reply to the ridiculousness over at YTTH and Stelek's wishful thinking about our game was in the works. I saved it as a draft, and woke up this morning to find it published in it's unfinished state.

I deleted it; sorry if you commented on it and feel miffed to find it gone! It'll be back when it's finished. Bold, unyielding, blunt, and no-holds-barred.

Also, I use the word "shitpickle" at least twice.

I was wondering, after reading his article and all the follow on commentary, if/when you'd post a riposte. Curious to see your side of the story now.

I hadn't planned on posting a side because I didn't think it was an issue.� I had a clean game against an unpleasant person, took a solid victory....yeah, I'll be posting.

Agreed. Problem is always in the eye of the beholder. You thought it was a clean and fun game that ended with no issues....apparently he felt otherwise, and given his tendency to publicly air his issues....well we have where we're at now.

The other problem is, though you never intended to reply, the moment he posted his side of the story everyone will naturally believe it as it's the only "side" out there, and thus the only way for the reader to get a clear picture (and more importantly for you to try and set the record straight from your point of view) is for you to reply in kind.

Sad really that the game we play has devolved to this point :( Almost like politics.

Two adults who've twice gamed in real life should manage this in a different fashion than snipey blogwars. One doing it does not excuse the other's retort, either.

Mike, if I had done battle reports, that would have been sufficient for me to put the lie to his version of the game. But I didn't. Not enough time in the rounds. And so I will write about it. I remember our game - I remember all of them and could Vassal it up from memory. Apparently I remember it much better than him. And so I will post to counter the slander.

Tbh this drama is not only funny but just shows what a lot of people think of Stelek. I always felt that way after watching him play Black Matt at Battle for Salvation last year, and had a feeling he would be an ass hat again at any other major tournament.

Anyways, looking forward to possibly attending Adepticon next year, and try nab a ticket for the Nova Invitationals ;) haha! Will you be attending Dash & Hulk?

I'll be there rolling hard with whatever has caught my attention for the month. From our talking at Nova Dash was up for it and we are going to be filling out a team for the Team Tourney :)
