Ard Boyz - Rockin the Orks!



I was going thru some of my models tonight and some of my models caught my eye. I've got a pretty awesome themed Ork army that's awaiting painting but is otherwise built and ready to rock. Here is something I think is rather nasty:

The only true worry from this list comes from 6 GK Dreads which will kill a squadron of my vehicles a turn. However it does have 4 Battlewagons, tons of rokkitz, and some solid shooting. The boyz swap spots with the nobz in the wagons. The wagons screen the buggies against armies like GK's to keep the AV14 in action. The KFF provides my own cover. It's a pretty solid list designed to oversaturate and opponent with targets. Basically an upgraded version of the list Mike suggested to me over a year ago now that I played at the Nova in 2010. Thoughts?

Not all of us are slaves to a single army at a time my friend. Not my fault I have a ridiculous number of models and can play almost anything I want :) Like I said, I'll make a decision tonight/tomorrow morning :D

You know what... that list could work really well for these 'Ard Boyz missions...

Not very many armies can handle a wall of AV14 hurtling down the gizzard.

I could field this exact same list...

*Pondering*

I'd prolly swap a unit or two of teh Grotzookas to KMB for AP2 goodness tho (I c termie 'umies every where)

Glad you like it. I'd be careful about the KMB's instead. They don't have blasts anymore (I don't think) and the Zookas generally cause a lot more damage for cheaper than the KMB's and are more flexible. I'd suggest giving this a run and ramming down some throats :)

You're right... KMB arn't blast, just AP2.

I'm actually thinking about going back to Orks instead of my DE due to the mission types...

Im just wondering why are the shootas better than the choppa and sluggas? bit of a nweb question i know but im really curious it just feels wrong we arnt smashing bashing and just causing general mayhem to the enemy with cc weapons.

I mean thats all i got and i managed to wipe out two 1000pts grey army knights with my 1000pt army and no i have no idea how that happened luck would be the word. my deffcopta took out the storm raven thing the first time i shot at it and my lootas wiped out 8 terminators and the land raider first times i shot at them :) then i moped everything else up :)

probably didnt help im one aggressive sob kinda why i like orks :)
