But it’s not out yet!!!! Well, it kinda is. But that’s beside the point since it does come out on Saturday there isn’t any reason not to get started with my thoughts overall. I probably won’t do a unit by unit breakdown or review as I’ll leave that to other blogs to do. I haven’t delved deeply or long enough yet to not make simple mistakes and I’m not going to pretend I have J. I’ll be focusing mostly on my general thoughts on the book, different ideas for builds, and the possible evolution of the book. But today is about my first impression so let’s get down to it.

Codex Review: Heavy Support
Here is the next stop on the Necron review train. The heavy support section is much different from the Fast Attack in that it’s not so full of awesome. I find most of the choices in this section a little lackluster but I’ll try present some uses for all the choices even if I don’t see a use for them in my forces. So onto the review.

Necron Review: Fast Attack
This is by far my favorite category for Necrons. It contains the majority of what I consider fun units and I think it’s probably going to be the most filled area of the force org chart as people really start to settle down into their lists. On to the review!

Necron Review: Troops
We’ll get this started with that little something you’re absolutely required to take to win games and generally in decent number: Troops!
As a Necron player you have exactly two options. There are no force org shenanigans that allow you to have more so you just have two. Personally I don’t mind though I would have like the option to make something else troops. Granted I don’t think anything else would work balance-wise but that doesn’t stop me from wanting more J

Necron - Codex Review
Well, right now the internet is abuzz with Necron articles. Sadly I’m going to be no exception as I’m super excited by this release. I’m going to be breaking down my review between a general overview, each FOC slot, and final thoughts. This is naturally the overall review.
My magnets also finally arrived so I’ve been finishing building my army for a tournament this Saturday assuming I’m allowed to use the new book that’s only been out for about a week. On to my overall review.

Initial Impressions on Grey Knights
This doesn't mean that I'm not going to be writing about Tyranids anymore. It'll probably slow down as I start to build my 2011 army (Grey Knights) but Bugs are near and dear to my heart so there will still be articles. Hopefully this will include Batreps from Adepticon in the next few weeks. Also any questions or email regarding our favorite critters will generally get me writing.
So this first article about Grey Knights. I'm going to focus on the strengths and weaknesses as I see them. . Then I’ll probably do the same w/units in the near future. I’ll upgrade to actual lists later this week/early next week since I’d like to give a bit of a foundation to my thought process before I get rolling. This will naturally have mostly to do with Grey Knight units since I'm just not interested in Inquisitors or Henchman. Let's get started!

Dark Eldar: The Army #4 (Heavy Support)
Well we're onto the newest and craziest section of the force org chart. This section has 3 new units out of a total number of 5 units. Just like the other sections there is a lot of room for choice in this section. Unlike the other sections this one is likely be almost always be filled. So let's get this party started.

Dark Eldar: The Army #3 (Fast Attack)
Well after an article on troops and on pre-game shenanigans we're going to move onto the least used portion of force org from the previous codex: Fast Attack
There are 4 units in the Fast Attack section which include Scourges, Beast Masters, Reavers, and Hellions. This is twice the number of units that were previously found in this entry and all of them can be used effectively unlike before. So let's get started:

Dark Eldar: The Army #2 (Troops)
Well the first post covered pre-game modifiers. This post is going to cover the core of the book. Troops.
Now we start with 2 troops that come in that section. Wyches and Warriors. We'll start with Warriors:

Dark Eldar: The Army
So this will be my first post in a series on the Dark Eldar. Today we're focusing on some of the things a lot of people seemed to have brushed over. Bear with me, I'm getting there and it's my first time (that's what SHE said).
Let me start by saying this book is probably one of my favorite so far but to be fair that's expected when you get the "perfect storm" of creators that went into this. Phil Kelly, Jes Goodwin, and Juan Diaz (probably some others :P) are what made this codex great from the get go. Thanks guys!
I see this book as a dream come true. Why? Because it's got all the tools I'll need to take down almost any build out there and I can fit them all inside one list. Balancing your list is going to be crucial and this is where a lot of people will drop the ball and either quit the army entirely or really buckle down and get started on that learning curve.
